Where and when available and travel with it?
During 2017, the free public transport day-ticket, the Fryslân Card, can only be used by tourists who stay in the communities of the Fryske Marren (Frisian Lakes: Joure-Lemmer-Gaasterland), Súdwest-Fryslân (South-west: Sneek-South-west Friesland, Frisian IJsselmeer coast), Opsterland (Beetsterzwaag-Gorredijk-Peat Course) and Ooststellingwerf (Oosterwolde-Appelscha-Peat Course).

The free public transport day-ticket will be offered by the accommodation to every tourist that stays in one of the four above mentioned communes from mid April up to mid October 2017.

So the day-ticket will only be available at the places where someone is staying in the communities De Fryske Marren, Súdwest-Fryslân, Opsterland and Ooststellingwerf. Consult www.fhaccommodations.nl and www.frieslandholland.nl.

If the expiriment succeeds, in 2018 the Fryslân Card will also become available at the accommodations in the other communities of Friesland.
